More about this scene
A view of two late-Victorian buildings facing each other across Queen Street. The General Post Office on the left opened in 1898 and was used as such until 1972, when the Post Office moved to a new building higher up the street. Alfred Waterhouse's Prudential building on the right was built in the style of its London head office.
