Here the shingle beach is thick with pleasure sailing boats of various types and sizes. The two girls seem reluctant to help their father with the boat. The marine landing craft in the foreground belongs to the Atomic Weapons Research Establishment, which was based at Orford Ness from 1959 until 1971.
