More about this scene
Ipsley was in Warwickshire when it was mentioned in Domesday Book (1086), and only transferred to Worcestershire in 1931. It predates Redditch, but has long since been swallowed up by it. St Peter's was built in 1345, probably on the site of a Saxon church. Next to it stands Ipsley Court, where the poet Walter Savage Landor (1775-1864) lived as a boy.
