Benhurst Gardens

A Memory of Selsdon.

Hi I have just joined and I'm constantly trying to find out about my family's history even if I have many photos and do know quite alot but sadly my mother passed away this Christmas so I want to hold on to every information....
I'm going back a long time early 1900 to 1980...My grandfather lived at n.56 benhurst gardens,he was married to Helen Borrow and my mother's name is Margaret. For a period of time she was married to David. She went to Whyteleafe grammar school for girls in 1951and for a period of time lived at n.86 old farleigh road,played tennis in the parks tennis courts at the back of benhurst gardens,you could actually walk through the gate into the park at the end of their garden.....My grandfather had a electrical repair factory took all his employees on day outings,he also attended many bird competitions.Would love to hear from who lived there at the time ,or knows anything.....
