A Memory of Selsdon.

Forgive me if I've posted this before, but does anyone remember the Reid family from 113 Benhurst Gardens (that's me) or the Blounts that lived next door (I think) who went off to New Zealand. There was also Mrs. Warren around the corner (Elm Grove I think) who ran a nursery school which both my brother (Peter) and I attended.

Hi Susan, I have just joined the site. My Mum was friends with Mrs Austen and Mrs Hudd, her sister. They lived in Benhurst Gardens and they talked about you, they said you were related to the actress Beryl Reid. Was that right?

I lived at 16 Benhurst Gardens from about 1964 - 1971. It was maybe the other end of the road to number 113, but I remember the Seddon family, the Wood family, who sadly lost a son to a motorbike accident, the Roberts family, the Bloss family. It was a great road to play in, no cars and the ice cream man would wind his way up eventually in the summer!

Hello,does anyone remember Helen and George Orrick? Their daughters name was Margaret (my Mum) . They lived at n. 56 benhurst gardens
