The Crown Slough High Street

A Memory of Slough.

How did planners give permission to tear down The Crown Coaching Inn.
I also remember the tall post in the middle of the Crown crossroads, with the green light that became red if some poor person died in a road accident in Slough.
Does anyone remember a green-grocers shop in William Street nick-named the hole-in-the wall; it was next to the bus stop for the 441 to Manor Park

I remember on Slough railway station there was a glass case with a dog in it. Does any one remember this.
Remember the dog in the glass cage! Also the green grocers shop as I used to catch the 441!
From memory that was 'Jim' the station dog, which I believe was on platform 5 the London bound platform............or up-line
