seeing photoes of the school and mounting stone instantly brought back so many fond memories of growing up in Standon. I lived up Aston Road with my twin brother Roy and sister Joesette. We spent so much time playing and fishing at the ford all the way to the Lordship, I often visit the ford when I'm in the area and it still feels like home although we lefty when we were 11 years old. Does anyone know if you can still fish anywhere along that stretch? Does anyone remember Gary / Roy and Joesette Harvey?
