A Memory of Streatham.
Did Ice skating Saturday mornings, we walked down Russell Footpaths.... remember watching the United Dairies washing the GLASS MILK BOTTLES... remembered the lovely Dairy Shop in Valley Road... Went to St Helens School, end of Valley Road and Streatham Common North side, small private primary school few boys but mostly girls attended.. Miss Tarry and Miss Howling were ex Missionaries were the two Heads. rather strict!!! Remember Sir Henry Tate's property we backed on to it in Belltrees Grove... now private apartments! Streatham Common has a facebook page! so read all the news on that from time to time... loved Streatham, moved to Surrey in 1969, then October 1970, I moved to Wellington. New Zealand, still in NZ but in a rural area out of Wellington. happy memories of Streatham.. anyone remember the Pentony girls. I am one off them!
