More about this scene
Church Street, seen here from the end of Main Street, with the High Street meeting it from the left, leads past the parish church of All Saints, one of Nottinghamshire's best parish churches. In this view all is obscured except the tower, which was rebuilt in 1902. Badgers Lair, the cottage on the left, has had its brickwork roughcast and colour-washed and the windows replaced by leaded lights since the 1950s, while the former shop beyond has also been drastically altered.
