More about this scene
This view is taken from the junction with Carshalton Road, south from St Barnabas Church. As we look north down St Barnabas Road, we see that the trees and houses look very new. On the right is the Roman Catholic Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, which was converted from a school in 1887 by E Ingress Bell. It is a rather undistinguished building. A porch has been added outside the double doorway, and a church hall has been built in the foreground.
