Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

Please Note: Our offices and factory are now closed until Monday 5th January when we will be pleased to deal with any queries that have arisen during the holiday period.

My father Stan Wilson grew up in a cottage on the marshes at West Thurrock where his father was the resident engineer for the adjacent Pumping Station (Sewage?). The 1939 census shows the family comprised Robert Wilson and his wife Rosa Wilson (nee Crates) and 4 children Bob, Rose, Stan (my father) and Andrew. I was born in No.5 Peaceful Row (Bug Alley) and remember it well, I left in 1953. We played on the meadow and in the railway sidings, the level crossing was replaced by the bridge and the Manor Way is now a dead end.
