Memories of Westbury

My dad (Brian Gray) moved us down form Manchester in Feb. 1964 to open a new pharmacy on the 'new' High Street. My dad's family lived at No 37, Fore Street, Westbury. My grandfathe'rs name was Fredrick Collier.

My father worked on the site building Westbury Shopping Centre. I remember there being a full size model of a dalek in the dry cleaners that used to be on one end of block. Used to be able to get inside it and pretend to be a dalek, which was great fun for an 8 year old.

I lived just round the corner from here and went to the junior school. My nan lived here in one of the flats, I can't remember the year though... Frances Mead.
