Moving east, the route passes through Whitchurch on its way back to Aylesbury. Whitchurch is a long village with many fine houses and cottages, and also the remains of Hugh of Bolbec's early 12th-century earthwork castle. Oving Road runs east from the High Street; this view is taken beyond its junction with Market Hill looking west, showing the mix of building materials found in the village: timber-framing, brick, local crumbly limestone, thatch, tiles and slate.

My Days In Whitchurch
I spent many days in Whitchurch, where my first love of my life lived, Sandra Tickner. I would love to get in touch with her again, and see how our lives have been, without each other. Many great times were had in the village. I also remember Gillian Bond and Audrey Radwell, they were school friends of mine.

Guntrip Family
My mother and father moved into number 1 Church Lane, just seen on the right of the picture, in the 1950s. Four children were born in that house and were christened in the church. It remained our family home until sold in 1993. My mother father and brother are buried in the church yard. My mother Jean worked for Miss Heywood who lived in what was to become the Priory Hotel. However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
