Ware, Crib Street c.1955

More about this scene
Redevelopment in the 1970s has swept away many of the buildings on the west side of Crib Street. With the wrought iron gate and lantern frame in front of us, we look northwards towards Bourne Close and eventually, by a footpath across the fields, to Moles Farm and the Sow and Pigs public house at Thundridge. The Cabin and the Albion are on the right, whilst in the distance, opposite the almost obscured MG sports car, are the Red Cow and the White Horse.
