More about this scene
This was originally built as stabling for the gentry who would trot up the mile of embankment in their carriages to visit Wells beach. The Beach House soon became a refreshment rooms, and even had swing boats erected beside it. Despite extensive damage in the 1953 floods, a small café and shop still stands on the site.
