Someone once commented that 'if West Chiltington church was in Italy, people would make pilgrimages to see it'. The church is certainly worth a visit, as is the village itself. This mid-1950s photograph shows the centre of West Chiltington, with the village grocer and the Queen's Head pub seen on the right.
