A glass of ale can still be comfortably supped in front of the log fire, and the oak beams and carved staircase stand as they did in Dickens's time.
The Morris family lived locally and arranged parties there for all their employees. Cricket matches, sports of all kinds, dancing and a band concert were only some of these occasions.
