Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

More about this scene

The town, granted its charter by Edward I in 1294, still has something of an English air, and much fine architecture. Castle Street is one of the two main streets, the other being Watergate. The town developed fast in Victorian times, and in 1896 had a commodious town hall, assembly rooms, a custom house, a literary institute, a club, a market-house and a free grammar school. Picture postcards, hugely popular at the time, are for sale on the left - perhaps they included Frith postcards.

Best View In Wales...
This picture stirs a memory. Years ago, my wife & myself would stay at my brother in laws at the nearby village of Llangoed. In the evenings Neil & I would walk for miles around the coastal & footpaths between Beaumaris & Puffin Island. The Good Old Days
My grandmother lived in Rose Hill, and was brought up in Siop Penlon,now a dreadful looking Chinese take away.I loved Beaumaris as it used to be,the pier, cafe ,and fishing at the end of the pier, . the old swimming pool with the wooden changing huts painted silver.where such characters as" Huw Clock " kept an eye on things. Family Holday
Our 1975 holiday in Beaumaris included myself, husband, two daughters, mother and father. We ate most nights in the Cottage Café where early in the week I spotted a large white horse ornament in a cabinet half-way up the stairs but it was not for sale. Morris Dancing
I am Jean Jackson (now Jean Gwynne), I lived in Llafaes Estate from 1947, and I also remember David Mills and Mary Quinn, I moved to 19 Bryn Teg when I was 6 and became a member of the Morris Dancing Team, other people I remember from that time are Betty Evans, Joyce Painter and Linda Jones, who I have never seen since those days. Despite over 20 years’ work on the archive, these scans have still not been individually checked and may prove to be damaged, faded, or not of sufficient quality to ever be offered in our full product range. However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
