More about this scene

This is an unusual but very attractive station at the end of the Northern Line, designed by Stanley Heaps in 1924; at the time he was architect to the London Underground Electric Railways. With its paired columns and pantiled roofs, the station shares its friendly feel with C W Clarks' smaller station at Stanmore of 1932.
