More about this scene
The River Coln flows through Fairford on its way to meet the Thames just a few meandering miles on. The town has its place in the history of aviation, for on 9 April 1969 Captain Brian Trubshaw flew Concorde 002 from Filton in Bristol to RAF Fairford, which was the aircraft's flight test base for the next seven years. Fairford is also home to the annual International Air Show.
