Macclesfield, Victoria Park, The Bandstand 1897

More about this scene
The park was newly opened at the time of this photograph, and as we can see, it was immaculately kept. Behind the bandstand is the line of Fence Avenue, but there are no houses yet, nor was the High School built. The bandstand has lost a few of its curlicues with the passage of time.
