More about this scene
The Chequers Hotel, beside which is a line of cars, is one of Newbury's most famous businesses. Though almost entire- ly rebuilt, some of the original walling remains. There is also a timber-framed wall on the east side, part of an old malthouse which dates back to the 17th century.
