Northleach, Market Square c.1955

More about this scene
Northleach is a delightful town, easily missed with the construction of its recent bypass. As with so many Cotswolds settlements, it made its fortune in the wool trade and still shows off the grandeur of those rich and heady days. The Market Square is overlooked by what is arguably the finest wool church in a countryside full of those magnificent buildings.
