Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

Scarisbrick Hall In 2018 And Its History.
Hi. Scarisbrick Hall is now an independent school, and I couldn't be more proud to be a student there! From what I know of its history, it was done up as the beautiful, gothic building we know and love today by Edward Pugin in the Victorian Dynasty. Lady Anne Scarisbrick lived there during that time, and apparently died on her wedding day by jumping off the tower. There are many gardens ...see more

Was This Used For People With Mental Health Problems Or Downs Syndrome In The 60's
I have distant memories of my dad going to this place to measure men for lounge suits , I seem to remember him getting upset because of the poor people (as he said ) having such a difficult life . was it at this hall ?

Granny And Grandpa
My memories relate to the war years and just after. My paternal grandparents lived in Scarisbrick. I can remember the house, kitchen and front and back gardens. It seemed a much bigger house than ours and probably was. I don't remember any houses on the opposite side of the road. When we travelled on the bus from Ormskirk, the light flickered through the leaves overhanging the road, creating a kaleidoscope ...see more

Genealogy & Research Images

Despite over 20 years’ work on the archive, these scans have still not been individually checked and may prove to be damaged, faded, or not of sufficient quality to ever be offered in our full product range. However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
