More about this scene

The first building on the left has been replaced by Boots. Juby's is now partly the post office. Gordon Ince's gents' outfitter's next door remains, whilst the Fox (beyond) has closed - its yard has been turned into a precinct. On the right is the forecourt of the Congregational Church, which was rebuilt in 1955 following its destruction by a German bomb in 1940.
