More about this scene
The Pebble Ridge at Westward Ho! has much to commend it as a defence line against the Atlantic Ocean, which rolls relentlessly in its attempt to reclaim Northam Burrows which lie behind. Two miles long and 20ft high, it is a natural defence. Away from this, there are some pleasant stretches of sand.
