More about this scene

Caption for Ash, New Street c1955: There are two villages called Ash in Kent. This one lies about three miles from Sandwich. This scene has not changed much since the picture was taken; we may be thankful that a bypass routes most traffic past the village. Ash has a very striking tall-spired church which can be seen for many miles around.
