Bredfield House
A Memory of Bredfield.
I well remember my time at the White house, my first night I was shown into the late Masters bedroom which was to become my own. All around was his personal items ,the magnificent dress uniforms, swords etc..My favourite room was the library which was on the ground floor and it had its own lift,I never used the grand staircases to go downstairs always the lift, how I loved that! And of course the wonderfull gardens which played host for the local fetes. Till the time the Army took over the house I was taught by a private tutor, this made possible most of the afternoons free to explore the acres of land and to feed my very own pair of swans, who became best pals.I always treasure my boyhood days as I was lucky enough to experience a way of life that few people ever knew..
