More about this scene

The modern shops of Littleham are some distance away from the heart of the older village. We see here Cranford Parade, not changed much since this photograph was taken, though the shops have new proprietors. On the corner, behind the now vanished telephone box, are the premises of A & W Riches & Son, an ironmonger's, and further down is the shop of V Carter & Sons. Lloyds Bank (centre right) is now Littleham Post Office, and E Prior the newsagent's (right) is now a tropical fish shop.
