More about this scene
Evesham Abbey held the Manor of Ombersley for several centuries until the Dissolution, its abbots often residing there. In the early 17th century it came into the possession of the Sandys family. Three veterans of Waterloo are commemorated in the church, including Lord Sandys, aide-de-camp to the Duke of Wellington.
