Built during the reign of Henry VIII, this tiny town hall is now a listed building. It was also a courtroom and prison. On the ground floor, we see the room where the jury was sent to consider its verdict. Above is a dipping chair, which was used to duck women in the river for being a 'scold' or a gossip.
