This fascinating photograph shows the intricate detail and sumptuous carving of St George's Chapel. St George's is also the Garter Chapel: above the oak stalls of the Knights hang their banners, which remain there until death.

I went to Trevalyan School approx 1967…..
Had an amazing English teacher, can’t remember her name, but she taught English so well.

Seeing the picture of the Information Centre brought back lovely memories for me because in 1968 it was The Windlesora Tea Rooms and Restaurant and I had my wedding reception there in October, there was a lovely room at the back for functions. My dad was a soldier in Windsor barracks in the 1950s. I was born in 1954 and when I was 5 went to Spital school across the road, which I loved. I loved living in the barracks too. There was no health or safety rules, we had complete run of the barracks and being around the horses. We then moved away.
