I have just viewed many beautiful online pictures of old Rochdale. My memories only go back to the 1960's when I started work there but my mother shared her memories of days back to the 1920's or so. What a town to be proud of in the old days and what proud people Rochdalians were. I wish the same could be said of the town nowadays. So sad what has happened. They say that money can't buy happiness but in the case of Frith photographic portraits there is a big exception. The framed photograph I received from my wife last Christmas was superb! I also received a wonderful book the Christmas before. I was so impressed that this Christmas I've ordered another two framed photographs, the detail and quality is simply astounding.
