Hi looking for information on my GGGG Grandfather William Phelps b 1789 Amroth, Pembrokeshire, Wales. His wife Ann Davies b 1793 her father Daniel Davies and his wife Jane. My GGG Daniel Alexander Phelps married Sophia Amelia Jones or Johns in 1858 Merthyr Tydfil. They moved to Queensland Australia. In the late 1950s and 1960s we used to stay in a field halfway down the road into the village of Amroth and a lady called Connie owned a small farm, so we called it Connie's field. At first we used to just camp then later Dad got a Dormobile van, then later we stayed in a caravan just behind the pub, it was a Bluebird van. We as a family stayed in what we called 'the shack', it was situated next to the Amroth Arms. The shack was on a large piece of land. A stream ran through the grounds, it went under the road into the sea, and often when the tide was high it would come over the road into the garden.
