More about this scene
On the left are a fish and chip shop, the post office and a baker's shop. As yet there are few cars about, but the area was succumbing to the great building wave as demand for coastal dwellings continued. Old properties were swept away. Anchorsholme Hall became Cleveleys College, with its own farm, but by 1918 the Hall and farm were sold to Cleveleys Hydro for their golf course. At one time there were 25 farms in Bispham, Norbreck and Anchorsholme.
