More about this scene
Angmering-on-Sea is one of those suburbs that blossomed along the south coast between the wars, partly as holiday homes, and partly as homes for London commuters. As a consequence, the coast is almost completely built up between Bognor and Newhaven. The old village centre is separated from the seaside expansion. Church Street, in typical Sussex brick and flint, runs from the medieval church to The Lamb Inn.
