More about this scene
The slightly overlarge Italianate Town Hall, along with the French Renaissance bank building of 1891, dominate an otherwise well-ordered street scene. The buildings appear to be of later Georgian date, but the jettied timber-framed house to the right speaks of hidden treasures to be found behind and within.
