Evacuees At Auchterarder.
A Memory of Auchterarder.
I do not actually remember Auchterarder as I was there for only six months as an evacuee in 1939 from September to March 1940 when we went home and I was one year old. However, I was the youngest of seven children and the stories of that time were related many times over the years by my mother and older brothers and sisters. We lived at a farm called Coulshill or Coolshill which was owned by Lady Holden ,or so I believe. Does anyone remember a family of evacuees from Glasgow? I would be most interested to hear from anyone who lived there at that time. From Elizabeth Cook ( nee Devine ).
