The central part of this fine Georgian building became the home of Sir Lionel Lyde, before the later wing on the right was added, and which at the time this picture was taken housed the Lullingstone Silk Farm, to which one of Rugg's coaches has transported a party of visitors. The farm has since moved, and the building is again a private residence.
