I was born in Caerphilly Miners Hospital in August 1969 but I grew up in a property called Gladstone Villa with my mother and my grandparents. I lived at 31 East View, from 1956 until I went to college. I was the son of Edgar Howells and Myfannwy [in fact they were my guardians from 1956 onwards]. Does anyone remember the doctor at Bargoed Hall? First it was Dr Thomas E Richards and then later his son, Dr Arthur Richards who died in 1970.
