More about this scene

A number of small boats, including a motor cabin cruiser, are left high and dry as the sun reflects on moist mudflats, indicating an ebbing tide. The Blakeney, built two years before this photograph was taken, remains today a traditional, friendly hotel and conference centre, maintaining high standards and offering impressive views across the estuary and salting. A Selection of Memories from Blakeney

For many years now, we've been inviting visitors to our website to add their own memories to share their experiences of life as it was, prompted by the photographs in our archive. Here are some from Blakeney

Sparked a Memory for you?

If this has sparked a memory, why not share it here?

This looks much like my Grand mother Phyllis Wright (1913-1995) Grandad did lots with boats, The Boy John being the boat to the right of the one she is sitting on.
