The changing face of the Swan Hotel is displayed in the next sequence of photographs. The Town Hall was designed in 1855 by the Bath architect Thomas Fuller – he later emigrated to Canada. He won a competition for the design of the Houses of Parliament in Ottawa, and became Chief Architect of Canada.
