More about this scene
Originally Eastgate Street, this street was renamed Caroline Street after Countess Caroline of Dunraven. She paid for a water pipeline to be laid from a spring near Sarn to a water tap on the corner of Derwen Road and Court Road. Note Olivers shoe shop on the right, and the various advertisements (including Fry's cocoa, left) and Lloyds News (right). Note also the trap coming towards the camera with its two passengers sporting their bonnets.
