This is another view westwards from opposite the Bull Hotel, with a sighting of Boy Scouts in hats (beside the lamp-post) and a pavement placard for Devonshire Cream Teas. On the other side (left of the cars) boot and shoe seller George Percival Read boasts 'Established 1844' and iin the 1930s would be offering 'Moccasin', 'Norvic' and 'Mascot' brands. Johnson Bros, dyers, were next door.
