White City
A Memory of Britwell.
Hi. I'm nearly 64, we moved to Britwell from the White City near QPRs Football ground.
I was born in 1960 & we moved to Britwell when I was a year old.
My dad worked for Mars as Maintenance engineer.
We lived in Lynch Hill Lane & we had a garden for the first time!! I spent so many hours playing in that garden. My Nan & Grandad came to stay & helped with the garden because it was a building site.
My Uncle, dad's brother had moved to Britwell & told my dad he should come as well.
I still have the paperwork saying we were leaving White City & going to Britwell.
The Britwell has changed so much. I still remember the flats, small shops, laundromat, fish shop so many memories.
My brother met his wife on the Britwell as her mum & dad lived there as well.
Dr Goodman was our GP & my dad & his brother Frank played Snooker at the Working Mans Club.
