Rowe Family In Camborne

A Memory of Camborne.

My father in law grew up in Cornwall in the 1920's he was Desmond Rowe and had a sister born 1923 called Cynthia Joan Rowe, his mother was Maud Mary Rowe and they lived in No 1 New Row in Treskillard, I have been researching the family now for 20 years and have lots of information but sadly no photo's, does anyone remember them or are there relatives that would be willing to talk to me.
He was fond of Cornwall but never returned after serving in the Tank Regiment during WW2.

He told us he was born in South Africa in 1920 and we have never been able to obtain his birth cert, it would be wonderful to re connect with our Cornish roots and would appreciate any information.

Maud's maiden name was Hicks and she was married three times due to being widowed twice when she was young.
Her first Husband was James Matthew's and they married in South Africa, they had two children Ruby and Cecil.
She then married Leonard George Rowe also in South Africa and they had 3 Children Leonard,Desmond and Cynthia.
She married another Mr Rowe in 1930's in Cornwall.

Names that feature in my family are Prisk, Hicks, Matthews and Rowe.
The men in the family were all miners so I am hoping someone may have a memory or photo's they would be willing to share,I would be extremely grateful.

Also I am looking for a book called the book of St Day if any one has a copy and would like to contact me as our family is mentioned in it and I would dearly love to have it. Thank You
