Wilson Walton Eng.

A Memory of Cargo Fleet.

I remember dover street very well. I worked on the Wilson Walton site constructing equipment for the north sea in the mid seventies as a crane driver.
I lodged with a lovely lady Mrs Renie Pearson at No 6 Dover Street for a few years and she looked after me like her own son. I did most of my socialising in the Crown pub (the ruin ) as it was known.
I have great memories of that time because being a Welsh man from Newport in South Wales I was made very welcome and made some lovely friends.
Dave. Harding. (Taff ) as I was known as.
