More about this scene
A total contrast is Charlcombe, a tiny hamlet on a minor road a mere half mile north of the Bath suburb of Fairfield Park. With the grassy downs behind, this is a most delightful medieval church: small and intimate, set in a well treed churchyard, with a most unusual stone bell turret, battlemented and carried on big corbels.
