More about this scene
This is a late Norman church, which was subsequently augmented during the 14th and 15th centuries by the wealth generated by the local wool trade. The three lower stages of the bell tower are Norman; the upper stage is 13th-century and the parapet is 15th-century. The most outstanding feature is the fine Perpendicular windows on the south side, which were reputedly installed by the Neville family in 1490.
