More about this scene
The corner of Eastgate Street and Bridge Street. The buildings are from the Victorian half-timber revival period, designed by T M Lockwood in 1888. This area of the city is known as The Cross. Until it was demolished during the Civil War, a medieval cross stood nearby. The Cross was restored to its original site in 1975.
